South Beach

South Beach is well known among celebrities and jet-setters as a place people can let loose and be in the company of beautiful people. The gorgeous climate, the unparalleled restaurant and lounge scene, and the ultra-luxury high rise condo’s and homes make South Beach one of the most discussed destinations in the United States and we’re proud to have it right here in Miami!

South Beach is home to many celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez, Matt Damon, P. Diddy, (well technically Star Island) several hundred NFL football players, and of course, many world class models. The diverse populace comes from all over Latin America, Europe, and other parts of the United States. Not a day goes by where people aren’t stumbling across Ocean Drive or Collins Avenue in search for one last drink. Party-goers and club scene fanatics operate 24-7 in this adult playground.

Where exactly is South Beach?

This is a topic that gets debated, even among locals. South Beach, by most people’s definition, is the portion of Miami Beach that starts at 23rd street and goes south.  It’s east coast bordering street is Ocean Drive, and on the west side the border would be West Avenue, which backs up to the bay and looks directly at Star Island, home to a myriad of celebrities.

What makes South Beach unique as a destination?

For starters, the views from each high rise on South Beach are second to none.  Whether you look west towards greater Miami and the Biscayne Bay, or east, where the sun sets on the Atlantic Ocean, the views are simply breathtaking.

Miami is home to a diverse population, and South Beach is home to restaurants, bars, and grocers who cater to each culture.  There is the uber-popular David’s Cafe, the popular Cuban eatery and breakfast spot, as well as Prime 112, among the most respected steak houses in the world.  You can find Colombian discos, European club scenes, and great old American bars, such as Ted’s Hideaway, which is popular with the wealthy South of Fifth street residents as well as local bums.

What makes South Beach so interesting is the amount of events held there each year.  Whether a celebrity has a concert or performance at a club like Mansion, or the South Beach Wine and Food Festival is setting up for another monumental exhibit, there is always an event taking place.  Saturday bikini shows at the Clevelander remain popular, as well as having frozen drinks at Wet Willies on Ocean Drive.

There are condos that sell for under $100k, but very few and far between.  There are high rise luxury condos that sell for MILLIONS, (like 20 and 30 million even), and homes such as the Jackie Gleason mansion that preserve the history of South Beach.

People flock to Miami Beach each year to relax, party, and find themselves.  Many of them come back and often become South Beach residents.  It truly is a one of a kind destination.
