NL East Standings at the All-Star Break

Thanks to a 9-1 streak over their last ten games played, the Philadelphia Phillies have opened up a four game lead over the Marlins in the East Division baseball standings.  As we head to the All-Star break, here is what the standings look like:

1.  Phillies

2.  Marlins  (4.0 GB)

3.  Atlanta  (6.0 GB)

4.  New York (6.5 GB)

5.  Washington  (22.5 GB)

The Marlins have an excellent chance to make up some ground immediately after the All-Star Break when they open a four game home-stand against none other than the division-leading Phillies.  It would be fantastic if the Marlins could take 3 out of 4 games versus the defending world champions.  Let’s hope the hot Florida sun will continue to help the Marlins and distract visiting teams as we head down the home stretch.

Enjoy the All-Star Game!
