The Miami Dolphins were led by quarterback Chad Henne’s career day and edged division leading New England 22-21.
In a battle of Michigan quarterbacks, Chad Henne threw for 335 yards on 29 pass completions to lead the Miami Dolphins to a divisional win at home versus the mighty New England Patriots. It appeared the game was going to be a long one when New England jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the game. Randy Moss was on the receiving end of a 58 yard bomb tossed perfectly by Tom Brady for the first score of the game.
But, Miami charged back and never gave up. Davone Bess caught 10 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown, and Channing Crowder sealed the victory when he intercepted Tom Brady’s pass with under a minute to go in the game. Crowder simply laid down after catching the pass and Miami had locked up the victory on the go-ahead field goal by kicker Dan Carpenter just moments earlier.
Miami improves to 6-6 (that Buffalo game was pivotal) and New England maintains a one game lead in the division while falling to 7-5.
